What do the different functions do?

Toaster Mode (Vertical)
1. Toast - Even toasting on both sides.
2. Bagel - More browning on cut side, for a perfectly toasted bagel.
3. Defrost - Best for frozen breads and bagels that need a little more time to toast.

Grill Mode (Horizontal)
4. Grill - Unlike a traditional grill, there is heat from top and bottom. This is ideal for a classic cheese on toast or toasted sandwiches as there is no need to flip bread. Primary heat source is from the top similar to a standard grill, with additional heat from the bottom.
5. Panini - Use with the panini attachment for perfectly pressed sandwiches.
6. Bake - Cook tasty breakfasts and snacks.
7. Reheat - Reheat leftovers for a crispy finish.

When do I use the grill tray?

The grill tray can be used only when the Toaster is in the Grill (horizontal) mode with the Bake, Grill, Panini or Reheat function.

When do I use the panini press?

The panini press must be assembled with the grill tray. You should use the panini press only when the Toaster is in the Grill (horizontal) mode with the Panini function. To insert the grill tray, flip the unit to horizontal mode and push the toast lever back to open the cooking cavity. Insert the grill tray to begin cooking.

Can I use parchment paper or aluminium foil?

Do not use baking parchment or foil to line the grill tray.

Can I remove the crumb tray?

No. The crumb tray is not completely removable. However, you may slide it out partially for cleaning.
